San Marino Schools Foundation Presents Grants Award to SMUSD

The San Marino Schools Foundation (SMSF) presented a grant of $1 million to the San Marino Unified School District at its May 28, 2019, School Board meeting. This $1 million represents SMSF’s first installment of its $2 million commitment to empowering excellence in our schools and students. Thank you to the families and community members who made this $1 million grant possible.

During his presentation, SMSF President Chris Maling stated, “We know the significance of the Foundation’s annual support of $2 million. Our $2 million commitment funds 21 full-time teachers. This is 12% of all teachers in the school district. From now until the end of June, we will continue to ask the San Marino community to give so we can reach our $2 million goal.”

His message is clear: we need your support to ensure that San Marino schools and San Marino students continue to receive the best education.

There is one month left to meet this commitment. We need to $95,000 to meet our $2 million commitment for teachers.

Please consider giving today. You may donate on our website, call the Foundation Office at 626-299-7014 to donate over the phone, or you may mail a check to the SMSF office located at 1665 West Drive in San Marino
