With #GivingTuesday fast approaching, knowing why supporting SMSF is key. What would happen to our district if SMSF wasn’t able to provide the funding needed?
The Foundation commits to donating $2 million, every year, for teachers. This helped fund 21 full-time teaching positions across each campus during the 2018-2019 school year. Without this funding, class sizes would be much larger at all our schools, and academic programs that make San Marino schools unique and special would be cut – resulting in students having fewer options for educational opportunities.
With all of this said, SMSF can’t fund teachers without the support of our parents and community. During #GivingTuesday last year, parents and the community raised over $65,000 in 24 hours – which is a portion of the salary for a full-time teacher. We at SMSF are hoping to surpass that goal for this year’s #GivingTuesday. Will you help us reach our goal of $75,000?
